#16 – Flow State, Emotions & Training with UFC Champion Jiri Prochazka

Eero and Samuli discuss the art of fighting, flow state, how emotions affect your performance and training with the UFC Champion Jiri Prochazka.

In this new episode we discuss our trip and training with the UFC Champion Jiri Prochazka. In case you didn't know, we visited Brno, Czech Republic and had two plentiful days with the UFC Champion.


In UFC, Prochazka is almost like no other fighter. His style is different and so are his methods. 


At one point in his training career, he did the simple 1-2 punching combination to a tree for 24 hours straight. 


After his fight against Glover Texeira (when he won the UFC Championship), he spent 3 days with no light and no food locked in a small room to contemplate his performance and to elevate his mind & spirit.


The champion is a legit martial artist and reads Miyamoto Musashi's The Book of Five Rings on a regular basis. Most importantly, he has reached the top of MMA and the pinnacle of martial arts as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.


During the two days in Brno, Czech Republic, he taught us a lot about the art of fighting and in exchange we shared tons of knowledge about movement, human body & ancient qigong.
