The One Supplement I’ve Always Used

July 11, 2016 by VAHVA Fitness

There's one supplement I have always used and that has stick with me since the beginning of my training journey.

UPDATE: Since this video I have stopped using whey protein altogether and do not recommend it except very occasionally and even then it's not necessary.

It's called the protein powder. Protein powder is a simple supplement that actually works, because it's nothing but the best forms of amino acids (proteins).

There are many supplements that work and then there are many supplements that are waste of money. We would never recommend anything we don't personally use or believe in.

Protein powder can be a great and a convenient way to absorb lots of high quality protein and as a result boost your results in the gym.

Protein powder can help with:

  • Gaining weight/muscle growth: it's very easy to drink lots of calories with the protein powder. Excellent for everyone who is skinny-fat or a hardgainer (=not eating enough).
  • Losing fat: protein powder can act as a meal replacement for many unhealthy meals/snacks.

The great thing about the protein powder is that it's very easy to mix it up with almost anything: you can use it in smoothies or pancakes. You can also drink the protein with nothing but water.

This makes it a very convenient way to add protein to your diet. It also allows you to get a healthy meal in a hurry or when you don't feel like cooking.

We Use Red Protein and Here's Why

When it comes to supplements, you get the quality you pay for. This is why we use Red protein, which is a high quality protein powder.

For us it's extremely important that it's not just the highest quality but that the product is what it's described to be.

Especially in USA it's becoming a major problem with supplements that contain many toxic and unhealthy substances. Many UFC/MMA fighters have been caught in drug tests because of these tainted supplements.

The health maximizes everything: even your results in the gym. This is why health should always be the priority in everything.

Red protein is not just high quality and a trusted brand, but it's also non-GMO and from grass-fed cows. Grass-fed means the cows were fed with their best nutrition and it shows in the quality of the protein.

Another thing to consider is the added sugar. You want protein powder that doesn't have any added sugar in it, because consuming sugar is just not healthy or good for fat loss.

Red protein is sweetened with a naturally found herb called Stevia. Although the protein isn't sweetened with sugar, it's still one of the best tasting proteins we have ever tasted. If you have tried out many protein powders, many of them taste horrible.

Although the Red protein is high quality and tastes great, it's still very affordable and in the same price ranges as many other proteins.

Things to Look for in a Protein Powder:

  • Quality and purity
  • Naturally sweetened
  • Taste
  • Price

Red protein is grass-fed, non-GMO and pure. It's also sweetened with Stevia, the taste is phenomenal (ice cream) and the price is very affordable (especially for the quality you pay for).

We highly recommend the brand. You can click here to buy Red protein from Red Supplements (sponsored).

We receive a small commission of each sale which will help Vahva Fitness to grow and produce better content. This commission comes at no charge to you.

We use the same brand and truly think it's one of the best products out there. They ship internationally and do it fast.

When to Drink Protein Shakes?

You can drink your protein shakes as a snack or as a post-workout meal. Protein shake with cream or nuts is a great snack, for a post-workout meal you want to prefer fruit smoothies or protein pancakes.

You can also drink the protein shake as a late night snack. You load with proteins before you go to sleep.

The flavor of your Red protein also affects how you use the protein. There are 3 ice cream flavors: chocolate (great with nuts, cocoa or alone), strawberry (great with fruits and berries or alone) and vanilla (good with anything).

Pick the Red protein flavor or flavors you like the most.

Train hard, stay safe.
