Healthy snack options for getting and staying fit. The best snack options for fat loss and muscle gain!

What you eat for snacks makes a massive difference in how lean and how strong you can be. 

Like always, the quality trumps everything and you should always aim to eat something healthy instead of unhealthy options like cookies, pastries, sweets or similar.

When you eat snacks, you want to get the most out of them. You want them to be satiating, but you also want them to have lots of good amino acids (proteins), fats and carbs and also tons of vital nutrients and minerals.

You want your snacks to make you a better, stronger and a healthier person. The snacks recommended here will do exactly that.

How to Snack to Get FIT

Follow your instincts and natural intuition regarding when you need to eat and how much. Next, pick only healthy snacks instead of the unhealthy ones we listed above. 

Here are some great and healthy snacks you can eat:

Dried Fruits

Dried fruits are awesome and many of them taste almost like candy. 

The best part however is that they contain a sick amount of the best nutrients and minerals out there. Lots of fiber as well. All the water is out so you are eating incredibly nutrient dense food with every bite.

Because dried fruits are so dense in nutrients, sugar and fiber, you shouldn't eat them too much. Follow your gut and you should be alright.

Dried dates taste great and are FULL of minerals such as potassium, magnesium and copper. 

Dried raisins you probably have tasted at some point and you know how delicious they are. The carb content is high due to the fact they are dried, but they still contain tons of nutrients like vitamins B3 & B6 and minerals such as potassium and iron.

You should find many different dried fruits from your grocery store. You can try different ones and see which one you like the most. Dried coconut is great as well!

Nuts & Seeds

There are many different kinds of nuts... walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, pecan nuts...

Walnuts are rich in Omega 3 acids.

The great thing about nuts is that most of them taste very good while having a great deal of good fats and minerals in them.

Cashews are a great source of zinc. Almonds have lots of magnesium in them. Walnuts are rich in omega 3 acids.

Try different ones and see which one is your favorite. It's great to rotate them as well and maybe pick a pack of nuts where many different kinds are mixed up together!

You can also try different seeds. They are full of good fats, fiber and nutrients.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is healthy as long as you don't overeat it. Pick one with 70 to 86% cocoa content and it's like eating superfood.

Dark chocolate doesn't only taste great, but it's also one of the most nutrient dense foods out there containing lots of amino acids and minerals to help your brain function better.

If you have a craving for sweets, dark chocolate is undeniably the best option.

Fruits & Berries

Sometimes you crave different kinds of snacks and fatty snacks like nuts and chocolate doesn't seem so appealing. Then you should try fresh fruits and berries which are mostly carbs and water.

Pick the ones you like the most and eat them. There are way too many great fruits to mention and your geography determines your selection of fruits as well.

Fruits are excellent, but berries are probably the best option because they are the most nutrient dense "fruits" with the least amount of sugar.

All berries are good whether it's strawberries, blueberries, aronia or cloudberries.

Eat good and clean.
