Almost a Scary Level of Finger Strength & Toughness

August 28, 2022 by VAHVA Fitness

An extreme display of finger strength and toughening by teacher Eero Westerberg. Don't try these at home without proper preparation!

Recently, Eero achieved something noteworthy: a 7-second plank with 2 index fingers. In this video, you will see countless other variations such as Wolverine push ups and more.

Finger strength is something Eero recently started focusing on with the goal of achieving a full push up with 2 index fingers. Years ago, he had already done 2 finger one-arm push ups so he didn't start from zero.

But why? Why would anyone focus on strengthening their fingers?

There are many practical reasons for that, especially in martial arts (Bruce Lee famously said that for real combat you better condition "every part of your body.") - but why not?

We have been in the fitness game for a long time and have gone through many different phases. Phases where we focused more on muscle building while sometimes we focused more on raw strength.

Today, we work on different things to make training fun and exciting. Due to our interest in MMA and martial arts in general, our training primarily emphasizes functional athleticism and health.

Especially health is something we take more and more seriously. We have no desire to abuse the body more than it needs to. We spent an equal time (or more) on recovery and detox as we do in training.

We are also very content with how our bodies look (although there is always room for improvement). As a result, performance and health have become the priorities. Looking like a stiff bodybuilder is not appealing to us at all.

However, if we want to regain different shapes after a long break, everything we once had will quickly come back. Eero can return to his strongest and biggest muscle shape in less than 6 months if needed.

You see, you can have many "forms" and shapes in this life. The optimal shape for martial arts and MMA is not the body of a bodybuilder but a body that is well conditioned and lean with the highest level of functional strength and joints that are bulletproof.

Bulletproofed joints as we develop in Athlete 20XX Method are actually one of the most important factors when it comes to being the perfect athlete or fighter - you can only push as far as your limits allow you to. So increase your limits.

The 20XX programs are the tools to shape yourself accordingly. Although all of them provide benefits in many areas, they emphasize different areas more than others. Together they are an incredible combination.

For losing body fat, building strength endurance and muscle building, Warrior 20XX Method is the best tool in your arsenal.

To build athletic muscle, bulletproof your joints and finely tune your movements, Athlete 20XX Method has everything you need.

To make the body well-rounded, limber, agile and well-coordinated, Movement 20XX Method is the way to train.

You shouldn't focus on everything at once. As said before, you can have different phases in your life.

For 6 months you can just focus on bulletproofing your joints and improving your structure. For the next 6 months you can focus on getting the most out of your body by doing high intensity workouts as per Warrior 20XX Method.

By adjusting your training and diet, you can adjust your body, shape and even mindset according to your goals and what you need at the time.

The best results you will get when you work in cycles although 2 programs are possible and easy to combine as well.

To build the ultimate machine that is healthy, athletic and looks good, the Trinity Bundle 20XX is very, very difficult to beat.

Stay strong.
