5 Club Exercises for Wrist Strength & Stability

5 Ways to develop different functions and muscles of the wrist & forearms using the Indian or Steel clubs!

When it comes to developing functional, strong and impressive hands & forearms, I don't think anything is as good as the Indian Clubs and Maces.

Recently, a lot of people have been asking where they can get a pair or just one. The easiest ones to find are the "steel club" and "steel mace" — these are very good tools and available nearly everywhere in the world.

The wooden and proper "Indian" clubs are a bit harder to find. Persian meels are also made out of wood but have a bit different shape.

For the feel, the wooden ones are definitely the best, the handle tends to be thicker too. The steel clubs will do in the beginning though.

When picking the right weight, don't pick the heaviest one. These are deceptively heavy to swing. By the way, complete advice and even links to many stores in different countries and continents are covered inside Iron King Method.

For the benefits, I recommend watching this video:

In the main video you will learn the 5 club exercises to specifically target the wrists.

These are fundamentally isolation exercises — in the beginning you may not even need them. The regular swings and club exercises alone will emphasize the wrists and forearms very well.

Eventually, you may want more focused wrist and forearm training and in this scenario these exercises will be very useful and effective.

Overall, the club is just an incredible tool to develop every part of your grip and wrist strength. You can even develop the fingertips very well, something a lot of people don't know — all it takes is creativity.

As you may already know, both of us experienced incredible results in our arms when we started using these tools regularly.

I still remember vividly the time I started swinging them for the first time. I practiced for one week and my forearms got insanely sore for 2 weeks after. They were literally aching like never before.

A year later, my arms and forearms were unrecognizable and my hands a lot stronger.

Whether it's movement, qigong or precision training of Athlete 20XX, we truly love this form of training.

Personally, it's one of the lowest barriers to entry when it comes to any type of training.

How?

The clubs I own are standing upright in the corner of my living room and I don't even need to bend my waist to pick them up. I just grab them without changing my posture — I just lift them up.

Because of this I find myself swinging the clubs very often, daily in fact.

This type of consistent training is what produces the best results — combined with the best selection of exercises and quality training of course.

Stay strong.
